The black Cuba can is the one most people picture when the brand comes up, and Cuba Black Apple Juice is the apple from that line, 43mg a pouch. It is made in Poland by Nicotobacco, the factory behind the whole Cuba range, and the Black line is where the brand keeps its big numbers short of the Ninja 150 cans. The flavour list runs almost one for one with the White shelf, so this is the same apple juice as the lighter can with a great deal more behind it. Here's the thing. The flavour is apple juice, not toffee apple, crisp and clean with a light sweetness and a little sharpness at the edge, and in the Black can it reads deeper and richer than the White version. Picture a glass of cloudy apple juice from a farm shop, pressed that week. It opens bright, settles into a full juicy apple through the middle of the load, and finishes clean with a bit of bite left over. There is no mint and no sugar coating. Proper apple from the first pouch to the last, with a serious load under it. Fair play to it.
