Sweet Mint 9mg, the softer mint with the Strong label
Sweet Mint is the Nordic Spirit can for people who like their mint with a bit of sugar on it. The brand is JTI's, began in Sweden in 2018, came to the UK in 2019, and the pouches these days are produced in Poland. Sweet Mint belongs to the brand's Moist range, which is printed on the pack, and this is the 9mg version, sold as Strong on the can. The flavour is fresh mint with sweet notes laid over it, and the pouch is a slim, tobacco free one. In snus terms it is the easy mint with a proper number behind it.
Fresh mint with the sweet notes on top
The first pouch gives you cool mint straight away, with a sweetness riding along on top of it, something like the soft mint from the bowl by the pub door. The Moist range is made with more moisture in the pouch, which the maker says gives a softer feel and a quicker flavour release, and the sweetness shows up quickly because of it. The mint keeps the whole thing fresh so it never turns sugary, and the two sit together right through the load. The finish is clean and cool with a little sweetness left over. Fair play to it, it is a very easy can to keep going back to.
9mg a pouch, and the three Sweet Mint cans on the shelf
Each pouch carries 9mg of nicotine, which puts it in our medium band, the 8mg to 16mg stretch. Nordic Spirit's ladder here is 6mg, 9mg and 11mg, and Sweet Mint is on all three rungs, so this is the middle Sweet Mint, with the 6mg below it and the 11mg above. The uptake is soft and the curve climbs steadily rather than in a rush. Slim pouches, 20 to a can, with a space in the lid for the used ones. The lid shows the strength as dots next to the mg, so the three Sweet Mint cans are easy to tell apart.

The Sweet Mint crowd, and the step up from 6mg
This is the can for the regular who has been on Sweet Mint 6mg and wants the same flavour with more behind it, and for anyone who finds a sweeter mint sits nicely across the day. If you want to carry on up the ladder, Sweet Mint 11mg is the next rung with the same Moist pouch. If you fancy a greener mint at this number, Nordic Spirit Spearmint 9mg runs sweet spearmint with crisp menthol behind it, and Frosty Mint 9mg is the icy peppermint one. Give it a go, and keep the 11mg in mind for later.
