Hot Grape, Velo's grape with the heating turned on
Velo already sells a grape in a round can, and plenty of regulars swear by it. Shift Hot Grape is the same fruit taken somewhere new. Shift is the brand's newest line, launched in Sweden, built on a rounded Comfort pouch in a six sided can, with every can at 8mg. The maker describes this one as the sweet flavour of purple grape with a balanced heating sensation, and Hot is Velo's word for that warmth. So it is grape, sweet, with a gentle heat sitting behind it. A familiar fruit with a new trick.
Sweet grape first, the warmth comes in behind
The grape here is the sweet, dark kind, closer to blackcurrant cordial than to green grapes in a lunchbox, and it fills the mouth straight away. Then the warmth arrives, slowly, the way a mulled drink warms the back of the throat after the first sip. It never crowds the fruit. Sweet grape and gentle heat hold together through the whole load, and the rounded pouch sits soft on the gum while they do. The finish is warm and fruity, with a touch of tartness to tidy it up. Proper grape, with the heating on.

Each pouch carries 8mg of nicotine.
