White Fox Original at 4mg, the lightest blue can
Here's the thing about the blue White Fox can: it is the only one on the shelf with no flavour printed on the lid, because it is the mint the whole brand is built around. We list it as Original, the maker lists it as White Fox Mint, and this is the 4mg version, the lightest it comes. White Fox is made in Sweden by Swedish Smokeless, the company that used to trade as GN Tobacco, and every pouch is tobacco free. The white faceted fox and the Made in Sweden tab on the lid tell you everything the can wants to say.
Spearmint, clean and quiet
Mint with spearmint is the whole story. It is fresh rather than icy, more a cold glass of water with mint in it than a blast of menthol, and at 4mg nothing crowds it. The spearmint gives it a green, lightly sweet edge that sits comfortably on the gum and holds through the pouch. The finish is clean, like the last of a mint after a long lunch. No pepper, no second layer. A straightforward fresh mint, done neatly.
4mg a pouch, the first step on the White Fox ladder
Each pouch carries 4mg of nicotine, which puts it in our light band of 1mg to 8mg. It is the bottom step of White Fox's Mild line, which runs 4mg to 8mg, with the Regular line at 12mg and the Strong line at 16mg to 17mg further up. The same blue can comes at 8mg and at 16mg, so the mint stays put while the number climbs. Slim white pouches, 20 to a can. Light snus, plain mint, nothing to work out.

Who the lightest Original suits
This is the can for someone trying snus for the first time who wants a mint they already know, and for the regular who wants a gentle pouch for the evening. If the mint is right and the number feels small, White Fox Original 8mg is the same can one rung up. Fancy a bit of bite at the same 4mg? White Fox Peppered Mint 4mg adds black pepper, and White Fox Double Mint 4mg adds a menthol chill. Give it a go.
