The top of the Fumi ladder, and it is a cold mint
Every brand has a can the regulars nod at, and for Fumi it is this one. Freezy Mint 15mg is the biggest number the Swedish brand puts in a pouch on our shelf, the top step of its Extra Strong line, and it is a cold mint and nothing else. Fumi comes from Helix Sweden AB, is made in Sweden and tobacco free, and keeps its pouches slim and white across the range. Fruit, liquorice and ginger fill most of the shelf. Freezy Mint is the one that stays cold. Here's the thing: at 15mg it is still the same icy mint as the 4mg can, just with a lot more going on behind it.
Frost first, then a steady chill all the way down
The cold is out of the can before the pouch is in. An icy mint spreads fast across the gum, sharp and clean, the way the first breath feels when you step out of the pub into a January night. Then it levels off into a cool, even chill that sits there for the whole load. A thin sweetness under the mint keeps it smooth, so the edge stays clean rather than harsh. No fruit, no twist, no second flavour waiting at the end. The last pouch is as cold as the first. Fair play to it.
15mg a pouch, Fumi's biggest number, still medium on our scale
Each pouch holds 15mg of nicotine. Our medium band covers 8mg to 16mg, and 15mg lands right at its top edge, a serious number that stops just short of the strong band. Fumi's ladder has three lines: Standard at 4mg, Strong at 8mg, and Extra Strong, which covers 11mg and 15mg and holds only Freezy Mint and Spearmint. This can is the upper Extra Strong step, with Freezy Mint 11mg one rung below it and the 4mg can at the bottom. Slim white pouches, 20 to a can. Uptake is quick and the curve climbs early, and the mint holds its shape right through.

Who reaches for Freezy Mint at 15mg
This is for the snus user who already knows they want a cold mint and wants Fumi's biggest number with it. If Freezy Mint 11mg has become your everyday can and you fancy the next rung, this is it, same chill, same slim pouch, more behind it. It also suits anyone used to a medium mint from another brand who wants a slim Swedish pouch at the upper end of that band. Want the same number with a softer, rounder mint? Fumi Spearmint 15mg is the other can on this rung. Not sure about the top step yet? Fumi Freezy Mint 11mg is the one to try first. Give it a go.
