Orange Spark at 10.9mg, the Velo can with a tingle in it
Most fruit cans on the Velo shelf come with a cool edge. Orange Spark comes with a tingle instead. It is part of what the maker calls VELO Sensations, the cans where the flavour is joined by a feeling on the gum, and in this family Spark means a light fizzing tingle rather than the warmth of the Flame cans. The fruit is orange, ripe and zesty, from BAT's nicotine pouch brand, and this 10.9mg version is the one Velo sells in Sweden, which is where the odd number comes from. No messing about. It is orange, then it fizzes.
Zesty orange, then the fizz arrives
The first pouch is straight orange, the juice from a proper orange rather than a squash, sweet with the peel still in it. A few seconds on, the tingle starts, a soft prickle on the gum like the first mouthful of a fizzy orange from the corner shop, and it stays while the pouch is in. The orange keeps going underneath it, so the fruit never gets lost behind the sensation. Through the load the two run together, zest on top and fizz below. The finish is bright and a touch sharp. Proper orange, with a bit of theatre.
10.9mg a pouch, four dots, and the Spark cans around it
Each pouch carries 10.9mg of nicotine, which puts it in our medium band, 8mg to 16mg, a shade above Velo's 10mg cans. The maker's six dot scale marks it as four dots. Velo's ladder runs in three rungs, Lower Strength from 4mg to 8mg, Regular Strength at 10mg and Full Strength from 14mg to 17mg, and Orange Spark 10.9mg sits at the top of the middle rung. The same orange carries on up to 17mg in the Full Strength line. Slim white pouches, 20 to a can. In snus terms it is a touch more than the everyday number.

Who picks the orange with the tingle, and where the Sensations go next
This is a can for the fruit snus regular who has done the Ice cans and wants a different feeling behind the fruit, and for anyone who likes orange and wants it at a touch more than 10mg. It also suits the curious, the person who always tries the new one on the shelf first. Want the same orange with more behind it? Velo Orange Spark at 17mg is the Full Strength version. Prefer the warm end of the Sensations? Velo Mango Flame at 10mg and Velo Lime Flame at 8mg. Give it a go.
