Purple Grape at 8mg, the middle of a four can run
Purple Grape is one of the few Velo flavours you can follow all the way up the ladder, and the 8mg can is where most people meet it. It comes from Velo's Lower Strength line, the 4mg to 8mg end of the brand BAT started in Sweden, and it is the fruit can of that line. The maker describes the flavour as red grapes blended with a touch of sharpness, and that is what you get. Grape, properly grape, with a bit of bite to keep it honest. No mint, no cooling, no messing about.

Lift the lid and it smells like the purple squash from a childhood kitchen. In the mouth it is rounder than that, a dark red grape rather than a sweet shop grape, with that touch of sourness the maker mentions arriving just behind the sweetness. The two balance out and stay balanced through the load. There is no cooling to muddy it, so the fruit stays warm and full from the first pouch to the last. The finish is clean, slightly tart and neat. Fair play to it.
