Gentle Mint 6mg, the Zyn mint that keeps its voice down
Not every mint wants to be the coldest thing on the shelf. Zyn Gentle Mint 6mg is a soft, understated mint in the slim pouch, the longer moist format, at a number that sits at the top of our light band. The pouch contains no tobacco leaf, so the mint is quiet because it was made that way, not because anything is crowding it. Here's the thing. It is the only Gentle Mint on our shelf, one rung and no ladder, and the people who buy it are not looking for a ladder. They want a mint that fits in the background of a working day.
Soft mint, a light cool, calm from the first pouch to the last
Pop one in and the mint arrives softly, like fresh garden mint in a jug of tap water on a summer table, fresh but never sharp. The cooling is light and sits politely on the gum, and because the slim pouch is moist the flavour gets going early and stays even through the load. There is no peak and no fade, just a smooth, calm mint that finishes clean. Easy to enjoy and easy to forget you have one in. Fair play to it.
6mg a pouch, light on our scale, one rung on its own
Each pouch carries 6mg of nicotine, which is the top of our light band, 1mg to 8mg. On Zyn's shelf that is the first number of the middle tier, 6mg to 13.5mg, with the 1.5mg to 3.5mg Minis below and the 16.5mg cans above. Gentle Mint sits on this one rung only, so there is no Gentle Mint above or below it, and the way up is through the shelf's other mints. The pouch is slim and moist to the touch, so uptake is a little quicker than a Mini while the curve stays gentle to match the name. Light snus for a light touch.

For the regular who wants mint without the frost, and where to go from here
This is the can for anyone who likes mint but wants it soft rather than cold, and for the all day user who wants a flavour that stays in the background. It suits new to snus people as well, being light, smooth and in a pouch that is easy to live with. After a greener mint at the same 6mg? Zyn Spearmint 6mg is next to it on the shelf. Want the next number up in a soft mint? Zyn Spearmint 9mg is the natural step. Give it a go.
