Cherry Cola at 18mg, the High rung of SNU's ladder
There is a moment at every five a side when someone cracks open a cherry cola on the touchline, and that is the taste SNU has put in this can. SNU Cherry Cola 18mg is the High version, the third of the brand's four strengths, and the first one where the lid shows every dot filled in. The can is white with a purple band and spells the name SNÜ, two dots and all. Beside the flavour name there is a tab reading 18MG PER POUCH, then six dots out of six and the word HIGH. Up top sits the scented patch, rub here to smell the flavour, so you can check the cola before you commit. Here's the thing. It is the same cherry cola as the 9mg and 12mg cans, with twice the number of the first rung behind it.
Spiced cola up front, cherry on the finish, all twenty pouches
The cola comes first and it is the spiced sort, closer to the glass bottle in the chippy fridge than the big plastic one, with a bit of warmth to it. The cherry follows a beat later, sweet and rounded, and the pair settle together for the rest of the pouch. There is no fizz and no sour edge, just the drink sitting steady on the gum. The finish is smooth with a light trace of spice that hangs about after the pouch is out. The flavour does not thin out as the load goes on, so pouch twenty tastes like pouch one. Fair play to it.
18mg of nicotine, and what High means on a SNU lid
Every pouch carries 18mg of nicotine, which lands in our strong band, the one running from 16mg to 25mg. On SNU's ladder it is the third rung of four: 9mg Low, 12mg Medium, this 18mg High, then the 45mg Xtra High cans at the top, where Cherry Cola appears again. The pouches are slim and there are 20 in the can, the same as every other SNU on the shelf. Strong snus in a soft drink flavour, with one more step above it if you ever want it.

Cherry cola regulars who moved past 12mg
This is the can for anyone who likes a soft drink flavour in their snus and wants a proper number behind it. If you have been on SNU Cherry Cola 12mg and want more from each pouch, this is the natural step up, same cola, same cherry, more in the pouch. It also suits strong snus users coming across from a mint who fancy something sweeter for a change. Want the top of the run? SNU Cherry Cola 45mg is the Xtra High can in the same flavour. Want the cherry on its own at this number? SNU Wild Cherry 18mg is right beside it. Give it a go.
