Hot Peach, the soft fruit in Velo's Shift line
Peach is the fruit that gets picked up when someone wants something gentle, and Velo Shift Hot Peach keeps that gentleness and adds a bit of warmth to it. Shift is the brand's newest line, launched in Sweden, built around a rounded Comfort pouch in a six sided can, and every can in it is 8mg. The maker describes this one as a sweet peach flavour balanced with a heating sensation, with floral tones in the mix. Hot is the word Velo uses for that warmth. So it is peach, sweet and a little floral, with a slow heat underneath. Here's the thing. It is a soft fruit done softly, and the warmth suits it.
Ripe peach, a little floral, warming as it goes
The peach comes in ripe and sweet, the tinned peaches with Sunday pudding kind rather than a sour one off the tree, and there is a light floral note running through it. Then the warmth starts, slow and even, like the first mouthful of a hot cup of something sweet on a cold platform. It never pushes the fruit aside. Sweet peach and gentle heat stay together through the whole load, and the rounded pouch sits soft on the gum. The finish is warm, fruity and clean. Fair play to it.
8mg a pouch, and the three Velo lines around it
Each pouch carries 8mg of nicotine, which is the bottom of our medium band, 8mg to 16mg, and the top of Velo's Lower Strength line, 4mg to 8mg. Above that come Regular Strength at 10mg and Full Strength at 14mg to 17mg. Every Shift can is 8mg, so the choice within the line is about fruit and feel, not number. The pouches are the rounded Comfort format rather than slim, 20 to a six sided can. An easy snus with a soft flavour and a warm underside.

Who goes for the peach, and where next
This is the can for anyone who likes soft fruit snus and wants to try the Shift pouch on a flavour that will not surprise them. If you are on Velo Peach Ice at 10mg and fancy the peach warm instead of cool, this is the swap, one step down in number. It also suits a beginner who wants something gentle with a bit of interest. Want the warmth on a bolder fruit? Velo Shift Hot Grape and Velo Shift Hot Dragonfruit are the same 8mg in the same pouch. Give it a go.
