XQS The Spearmint, the gentle one
If you are new to snus, or you just like a mint that does not shout, XQS The Spearmint is the can to pick up first. XQS is a Swedish brand within Scandinavian Tobacco Group, one the maker dates to 2005 in Jämtland. Along with its fruit cans the brand makes three mint cans, The Spearmint, The Peppermint, The Menthol, and this is the gentlest of the three, in flavour and in number. The lid shows three bars of six and reads 6 MG. Spearmint, nothing else, and the lowest strength on the XQS shelf.
Spearmint gum on the walk to the bus
Spearmint comes through gently, rounded and clean, carrying a soft natural sweetness underneath, the way a stick of spearmint gum tastes on the walk to the bus rather than the sharper peppermint sort. The cooling is light, more of a freshness than a chill, and it arrives at the finish rather than the start. Through the load the flavour stays smooth and even, no sharp edges, and the drip is soft. It does the same thing at the end as it did at the beginning. Easy going mint, done neatly. Proper.
