Menthol Ice 16.5mg, eucalyptus and menthol at the top of Zyn's ladder
There is always one can that the cold weather crowd asks for by name, and on Zyn's shelf it is Menthol Ice. This is the 16.5mg version, the top of a three rung ladder that starts at 11mg, and it carries the biggest number Zyn puts on a lid. The flavour is eucalyptus and menthol, which makes it the one top tier can with something herbal in the cold. It comes in the long slim pouch. Here's the thing. Cool Mint Max gives you peppermint up there and Black Menthol gives you menthol alone. Menthol Ice is the one with a bit more going on. Cold, sharp and proper.
A sharp eucalyptus cold with an icy edge that lasts the load
Pop one in and the menthol lands first, sharp and icy, then the eucalyptus comes through underneath, green and aromatic, the scent of the tree itself after rain. The shop's note calls it clean and cold with a strong icy edge, and that is the whole of it. It is the pouch equivalent of a lungful of air on a frosty hillside walk, bracing and clear. The cold does not drift as the load goes on, it sits there sharp from the first pouch to the last, and the eucalyptus keeps it from being flat. It finishes icy. Fair play to it.
16.5mg a pouch, the strong band, and the two Menthol Ice rungs below
Each pouch carries 16.5mg of nicotine, which puts it in our strong band, the one that runs from 16mg to 25mg, right at the start of it. On Zyn's shelf it is the top tier, above the 6mg to 13.5mg middle and the 1.5mg to 3.5mg Minis. Menthol Ice is a three rung ladder, all in the slim pouch: 11mg at the bottom, 13.5mg in the middle, and this can on top. The pouch is the slim, long and moist to the touch, so the uptake is quick and the curve climbs early and stays up. Strong snus with eucalyptus in the cold.

For the Menthol Ice 13.5mg regular ready for the top tier
This is the can for the Menthol Ice 13.5mg regular who wants the top rung with the same eucalyptus chill, and for the strong snus user who wants something herbal in the cold. If 16.5mg is the right amount, this is as far as Zyn goes, so settle in. Want the same number with peppermint instead of eucalyptus? Zyn Cool Mint Max 16.5mg sits beside it. Want menthol on its own? Zyn Black Menthol 16.5mg is next to it on the top tier. Give it a go.
