Klint

The Klint ladder runs from 4.2mg at the mildest through 12mg, 16mg, 20mg and a 25mg ceiling on Klint Avalanche Mint. Five rungs across eight products, which is a wider spread than most compact ranges attempt. The brand did not decide it was a beginner label or a heavy label. It laid the whole ladder out on one design language and let you climb it.

Read that against what the brand feels like in the mouth and one thing stands out. Klint is drier and slower than a lot of the heavy pouches at the same numbered strength. 25mg on an Avalanche Mint does not open the way 30mg on a Pablo Exclusive opens, because the 0.7g pouch and the drier build release the nicotine over a longer window. That is a Klint choice, not a spec accident.

The Klint curve is a slow one and it is a signature of the brand rather than a flaw. On the 4.2mg Klint Mint you feel the mint first, a soft cool that arrives inside a minute, and the nicotine climbs behind it over three to four minutes to a plateau you have to pay attention to notice. A first pouch of the morning at 4.2mg will not spike you awake. It will sit with you.

The wider range keeps that shape. At 16mg Freeze Mint the plateau lands higher and the nose registers cooler faster, but the climb is still a shade slower than a moister pouch at the same milligrams. That is the small pouch. 0.7g of material has less surface area than a standard slim, so the wet cycle takes a beat longer and the release runs steadier. Nothing spikes. Nothing crashes.

The exception is the 25mg Klint Avalanche Mint. At that strength the slow climb becomes a feature you use, not a texture you notice. It lands in the higher band without the spike a fast heavy pouch produces. A Klint way to run a high number.

The Klint flavour picture is straightforward. Six of the eight products live in the mint family, in different intensities and different cooling loads. Two step outside the mint spine into fruit, at 16mg. That is the whole taxonomy. Two families, mint led.

Tobacco free, vegan, slim white portions built on plant fibre with a food grade wrap. That much is common across the modern shelf. What is not common is the pouch weight. Klint runs at roughly 0.7g per portion, which is on the lighter end of slim and closer to a mini than to a full slim. The comfort difference is real. At the top end Klint 25mg is not chasing Cuba Black at 43mg or Pablo Exclusive at 30mg. It will lose against both if that is what you are grading it against. It is not applying for that job. The Klint 25mg is a slow, cold, sit with you version of a strong pouch. Cuba and Pablo are the fast, loud, announce yourself version. Both valid, different rooms.

Klint is not a mainstream UK shelf brand.
