Pink smiley, mixed fruit, the lighter Phiz
The Phiz can with the pink lid, a wavy dripping grin and two tall oval eyes, is Tropical, and this is the 6mg one. Phiz makes three flavours at two strengths, and Tropical is the fruit bowl of the three. The lid shows no flavour name, so the pink is how you tell it from the green peppermint on the shelf beside it. It is a mini pouch, which the lid does state. Here's the thing about Phiz: the cans look like a bit of fun, and the snus inside keeps it just as simple.
Mango, pineapple and a squeeze of citrus
Picture the mixed fruit juice carton from the corner shop fridge, the one with the pineapple on the front. That is the territory. Tropical opens sweet and bright, with mango and pineapple up front and a squeeze of citrus that keeps it lively, and it holds that juicy note through the load rather than fading into plain sugar. The finish is soft and fruity with a little of that citrus edge still there. Proper holiday fruit in a small pouch. Fair play to it.
6mg a pouch and the short Phiz ladder
A pouch carries 6mg of nicotine, which puts it in our light band, 1mg to 8mg. Phiz does not run a long ladder: every flavour comes in 6mg and 12mg and nothing else, so this is the lower rung, and Tropical 12mg sits straight above it in the medium band. The pouch is a mini, as the lid says. A light fruit snus for anyone who wants the flavour doing the talking and the number keeping it company.

For the fruit first crowd
This suits snus users who go for fruit over mint and want a lighter can for the daytime, and it is a friendly first Phiz for someone who has not tried the brand before. If the fruit is right and you want more behind it, Tropical 12mg is the same blend at the higher number. If you fancy a darker fruit, Phiz Dark Cherry 6mg is the other fruit can at this strength. Give it a go.
