SNU's cherry cola, at the bottom rung of the ladder
Walk into any corner shop in the country and there is a cherry cola in the fridge, which is roughly what SNU had in mind with this can. It comes from SNU's 9mg line, the lowest of the brand's four rungs, where ten of its flavours start out. The can spells the name SNÜ, with the two dots, and the lid tells you everything before you open it: 9MG PER POUCH in a tab next to the flavour name, two filled dots out of six, and the word LOW underneath. There is even a scented patch on the lid that says rub here to smell the flavour. Here's the thing. It is a fruit cola in snus form, white can with a purple band, and it does not pretend to be anything else.
Spiced cola first, sweet cherry close behind
The cola lands first and it is the spiced kind, the sort you get from a glass bottle rather than a plastic one, with a bit of warmth in it. Then the cherry comes in behind, sweet and rounded, and the two settle together for the rest of the pouch. Picture the cherry cola from the pub fridge, poured over ice, minus the fizz. The finish is smooth with a light spice left on the gum, and the flavour holds at the same level from the first pouch to the twentieth. Nothing sharp, nothing sour.
