Wild Cherry, nothing but cherry, at SNU's top number
There is always one in the group who wants cherry and only cherry, no cola, no berries, no mint behind it. This is their can. SNU Wild Cherry 45mg is the plain cherry from the brand's Xtra High line, the highest of its four strengths and the end of the road for anyone climbing the Wild Cherry rungs from 9mg. The strength tab on the lid says 60MG PER GRAM, all six dots are filled with an X after them, XTRA HIGH is printed beneath, and there is a red XTRA STRONG USE RESPONSIBLY stamp over the top. Nowhere does it say 45. SNU prints its strength per gram, and 60mg per gram is 45mg in each pouch, the number on our shelf. Here's the thing. Same cherry as the lower cans. The lid is the only part that shouts.
Rich, sweet cherry with a sharp edge, pouch after pouch
The cherry is the rich, dark kind, the sort from a bag of sweets at the pictures rather than a glacé one off a cake, and it is sweet from the first second. Just behind the sweetness there is a sharp edge, a little tartness that stops it going flat, and that edge is what makes it wild rather than just cherry. No second fruit, no cooling, so the cherry has the whole pouch to itself, and SNU keeps the flavour identical at every rung. It finishes lightly tart and clean, and the load holds right through to the twentieth pouch. Cherry, properly done, with nothing in the way.
45mg of nicotine, and the Wild Cherry rungs below it
Every pouch carries 45mg of nicotine, which is our extreme band, the one from 25mg upward, and the biggest number SNU makes. The brand's ladder has four rungs: 9mg, which it calls Low, 12mg Medium, 18mg High and this Xtra High line at 45mg, and Wild Cherry is on all four of them. Up here it has four companions: Cherry Cola, Tropical Punch, Fizzy Energy and Black Ice. The pouches are slim, 20 to a can. Uptake is fast and the curve is steep. Extreme snus for the cherry lover who has already done the rungs below.

Who takes the cherry all the way up, and the cans alongside
This is the can for the SNU regular who has been on Wild Cherry 18mg and wants the same cherry with the top number behind it. It also suits extreme snus users from other brands who want a fruit can rather than another mint at that level. If 45mg is a bigger step than you were after, SNU Wild Cherry 18mg is the same cherry on the rung below, and it is where most people stay. Fancy the cherry with cola underneath at this number? SNU Cherry Cola 45mg is right next to it on the shelf. Give it a go.
