Pablo Blue Raspberry Hands On Review

Pablo Blue Raspberry Hands On Review

The rise of Pablo as a nicotine pouch brand has been met with an array of new flavours in the 2020s. As a silent fan of Pablo, I was asked to review Blue Raspberry, perhaps by way of hoping for credibility, perhaps for objective feedback. Either way, my week of using Blue Raspberry as a primary nicotine pouch closes, with both some enjoyable moments, and frustrations. Read on to see how it went!

The Snus Life Verdict

Pablo Blue Raspberry delivers a fast, heavy nicotine hit with a punchy sweet berry profile. The 17mg line is more usable day to day, while the 50mg is strictly for high tolerance users who want maximum impact.

First Off, The Question Answered

Yep, in my first question was about the flavour itself. I am a long way from the farm days and walking through meadows picking raspberries from thorny bushes. But, in my experience raspberries have always been red. So, I had to run a couple of Google searches to find out that Blue Raspberry is, in fact, a synthetic flavour used in candies, drinks and snacks. I have to admit my excitement about the product from the jump was hardly Game of Thrones new episode like. I am one for enjoying the history of snus through a more organic lens having moved from traditional snus to nicotine pouches. So, the tobacco pouches have always been a personal preference, but lately nicotine pouches have become a lot better. Blue Raspberry, though?

Flavour Profile: What Does It Taste Like

I do love Pablo pouches and have followed them since the initial release of the Ice Cold all those years ago. Even I have been surprised at the velocity at which NGP Empire, Pablo manufacturers, have been releasing flavours of late.

Blue Raspberry is an electrifying flavour, with an initial hit that can almost take your breath away. There is an intense, sharp, and deep flavours from the outset that is nostalgic of those little blue cola bottles you could get back in the day. I remember those being exceptionally sharp in flavour too. It is hard to really describe the intensity of flavour at the first load other than being, explosive. The burst of flavour almost defies the status quo of nicotine pouches, a slow build. At the very least, it is fun, if not something that can be repeated within minutes like some of the mints.

As time goes on the intensity of flavour does dissipate somewhat, and usually I would describe that as disappointing. However, in this instance, I think it is a necessary evil to have a flavour that mellows into the load. The evolution of the pouch morphs into a nuanced candy-like aftertaste that is pleasing and fun.

Overall, the Blue Raspberry pouch starts with a blasts and then mellows into something more expected from a nicotine pouch, if that makes sense. NGP have pushed the flavour boat out by creating such an intense flavour, which has its pros and cons. On the upside, the flavour is both intense and accurate, on the down, it is artificial to a degree (that being said Blue Raspberry is artificial by design), figure that out!

Who Would & Wouldn't Like The Flavour

I am not a snus purists, but I am someone that has a history of using traditional snus. So, from that perspective, I can see why traditional users may feel the artificial flavour too much. However, I also understand that new users, especially those perhaps transitioning from vaping, would find the flavour to be right up their street. If you are someone that likes a punch of flavour, go for it, but if you are not a sweetie type, or a flavour junky, give it a miss.

Nicotine Strength & Release

My experience in using Pablo pouches throughout the past years has taught me one thing, Pablo is a fast acting pouch. There are some flavours that intensify the strength level, which are usually mints, but in most flavours you tend to get more of a hit than you would expect. Blue Raspberry, in all honesty, is one flavour that surprised me the most.

The Gold 17mg Edition, I had to use as my morning pouch to give it a fair crack of the whip. At 17mg, compare that against the total 50mg/g of nicotine in the Exclusive Line, and there is no strength comparison. During the morning, when the body is dehydrated, tired, and relaxed, most nicotine pouches will hit harder. My un-scientific study of Blue Raspberry stretched as far as to consider timing in using the Gold Edition to really understand the effects. In truth, I was pleasantly surprised by the strength of the 17mg Blue Raspberry. It kicked like a donkey from the jump, some mornings making me have to take an extra five minutes in bed! There is a shooting nicotine hit from the initial load, which slowly dissipated after five or six minutes. But, for new users, I can imagine that would last a little longer. For me, the strength was enough to give a quick hit, but the top end, at 17mg, is just below my tolerance level for any serious adversity.

The Exclusive Line has been a different story. Yes I tried it in the morning to compare against the 17mg Gold Edition, and some mornings I wish I didn't. The head spin verged on horrendous at dehydrated times, almost to the extent of the 100mg, or 120mg pouches back in the day. That being said, throughout the day, for my tolerance level, the Blue Raspberry was a winner. I loved the flavour, the strength intensity, and the waves of nicotine relaxation and focus when I needed it. For you heavier users, vape guys, or smokers, this is a winning strength pouch that you would get exactly what you need from.

Pouch Feel & Comfort

The Pablo pouches are all pretty similar in my opinion. There are some flavours that use a slightly different moisture pouch, and slightly different paper based on my experience. But, the Blue Raspberry follows the pouch consistency of most of the new flavours in the Pablo lineup. There is a moisture level beyond what you will find in most brands, which again has its pros and cons. But, the pouches are very comfortable, and you can go a lot longer than the recommended use time of thirty minutes without realising it is still in. If you like a moist pouch, Blue Raspberry will work for you.

Who Is Blue Raspberry Pablo For?

If you like rich, intense flavour, you are going to love Blue Raspberry. But, if you prefer a more organic flavour (if that is even a thing in nicotine pouches) then perhaps a more traditional fruit or mint would work best for you.

A beginner should definitely look at using the Gold Edition Blue Raspberry before attempting the 50mg/g Exclusive Line. You get the same rich flavour, just with a lighter top end, and less aggressive nicotine curve. Nicotine curve pertains to the time in which it takes to feel the hit.

With the Exclusive Line I found the strength to be bearable, for me. But, I can see that even a frequent user may struggle at times of dehydration, or having not used a pouch for a few hours.

Blue Raspberry is an artificial flavour, albeit a very nice artificial flavour. Combined with the strength options by Pablo, there is a shout for most users. It is probably one of the fastest working nicotine pouches I have used from Pablo outside of the mint flavours, which I was not quite prepared for. So, if you are a strength chaser that loves candy flavoured pouches then this is the perfect combination for you.

How It Compares to Similar Nicotine Pouches

I think the nicotine curve trumps most other candy flavoured pouches, which is a positive for frequent users, and perhaps a curve ball for new users. Against brands VELO which we have compared, you will find an acceleration of nicotine beyond VELO's reach. Similarly to Zyn, which at its strongest can be hard hitting, even the Gold wipes the floor in terms of speed. There are other brands out there with exciting candy flavours, though. But I am sure Blue Raspberry is going to hold its own out there in the market for flavour seekers. As much as I want to claim purist status and cry about artificial flavouring, I can't lie, Blue Raspberry stole my heart. It is a quality flavoured delivered with incredible immediate presence and pleasant nuanced aftertaste.

Final Thoughts: Is Pablo Blue Raspberry Worth Your Time?

After a full week of hands-on use, Pablo Blue Raspberry proves itself as a bold, unapologetic nicotine pouch that knows exactly what it wants to be. The flavour is intense, fast, and undeniably artificial but executed with confidence and control. In the 17mg Gold Edition, it offers a surprisingly punchy yet manageable experience, while the 50mg Exclusive Line is firmly aimed at seasoned users chasing maximum impact. This is not a subtle pouch, nor does it pretend to be. If you enjoy candy-style flavours paired with rapid nicotine delivery, Blue Raspberry earns its place in your rotation.
