Pablo Kiwi Hands On Review

With so many nicotine pouches to choose from from both brands to products, shopping online can be disorientating to say the least. From all the weird and wonderful flavours to choose from, perhaps Kiwi doesn't scream off the page for most. When it comes to Pablo, fast becoming one of the OG's of snus, Kiwi may seem like a filler product to some. I was offered to take a bunch of Kiwi out of the office to run a full-scale Pablo Kiwi review. This is how I got on.

Why Kiwi Out Of All The Fruits?

I don't know about you, but Kiwi is hardly one of the fruits that I head to the supermarket to grab as a staple. Maybe times have changed in recent years from the standard apples and oranges on mumsie's shopping list, I am unsure. The woke generation, in all of their glory, perhaps have looked at the nutrient list and considered the abdominal benefits. But, from the outset, Kiwi is an obscure fruit to feel the need to replicate. In my opinion, Pablo have taken a leap of faith pushing the Kiwi flavour out to the masses. With favourites like Strawberry and Cherry as obvious contenders for top fruit considerations, Kiwi surely had to be down the Wishlist.

Flavour Profile: What Does It Taste Like

I do love Pablo pouches and have followed them since the initial release of the Ice Cold all those years ago. Even I have been surprised at the velocity at which NGP Empire, Pablo manufacturers, have been releasing flavours of late.

Blue Raspberry is an electrifying flavour, with an initial hit that can almost take your breath away. There is an intense, sharp, and deep flavours from the outset that is nostalgic of those little blue cola bottles you could get back in the day. I remember those being exceptionally sharp in flavour too. It is hard to really describe the intensity of flavour at the first load other than being, explosive. The burst of flavour almost defies the status quo of nicotine pouches, a slow build. At the very least, it is fun, if not something that can be repeated within minutes like some of the mints.

As time goes on the intensity of flavour does dissipate somewhat, and usually I would describe that as disappointing. However, in this instance, I think it is a necessary evil to have a flavour that mellows into the load. The evolution of the pouch morphs into a nuanced candy-like aftertaste that is pleasing and fun.

Overall, the Blue Raspberry pouch starts with a blasts and then mellows into something more expected from a nicotine pouch, if that makes sense. NGP have pushed the flavour boat out by creating such an intense flavour, which has its pros and cons. On the upside, the flavour is both intense and accurate, on the down, it is artificial to a degree (that being said Blue Raspberry is artificial by design), figure that out!

Who Would & Wouldn't Like The Flavour

To some extent I would consider Kiwi to be a divisive fruit, like one of those if you know you know conversations. The flavour itself, absolutely spot on, for me. Without getting into a nuanced argument about the flavour of Kiwi itself, I think it is one of the best fruit flavours from Pablo, period. In both the Gold and the Exclusive Lines, the flavour is incredible. In short, perhaps the more adventurous flavour seeker would choose Kiwi. In reality, everyone should try it, because Pablo have a silver bullet in this flavour that often goes under the selection radar.

Kiwi's Nicotine Strength & Release

If you are new to nicotine pouches, it needs to be said that some flavours just feel stronger than others. In the nerdy snus conversations that feeling is referred to as perceived strength. Although on the tin, the strength of two products may be the same, the perceived strength can be very different. In real time use, the strength is intrinsically linked to the flavour itself. Pablo is a brand that is known for immediacy of nicotine, with a sharp nicotine curve, especially in the Exclusive Line.

The Exclusive Kiwi compared with other Exclusive Line products has a slightly more subdued nicotine curve, which I enjoyed. I loved the way the pouch would last in both flavour and strength for an extended period of time. The curve was more gradual than I expected, but still aggressive. The nicotine curve allowed for me to use Kiwi for both shorter nicotine sessions, and longer sessions due to the plateau duration. So, when I was sitting down with the kids waffling about Roblox, I was able to zone out in my own private nicotine session for twenty minutes. Likewise, during quick breaks to the toilet at work, I could scroll through instagram, locked in my own personal relaxation zone for five minutes. For those of you that know, if you are looking for that nicotine hit immediately because you have stolen five minutes for a coffee break at work, some pouches just don't cut it. With Kiwi Exclusive, you get the best of both worlds in a single product. Sometimes in the Exclusive Line, especially with the mints, you get the immediacy of nicotine without the extended duration.

The Gold Edition Kiwi was again different. For shorter bursts of nicotine, the pouches delivered, as expected. For longer durations, the taper point for me was both early, and with a sharper strength drop off. It is important to note that my tolerance is above the new, or infrequent user, and therefore the performance is subjective. I would imagine, that to a new user, the performance would be similar to the Exclusive performance for me, just with a little more intensity of flavour.

Pouch Feel & Comfort

Pablo pouches always have a fantastic consistency, there are very few products in the ranges that let you down. Unless you buy nicotine pouches from a dodgy corner shop selling two year old cans, you can feel the quality NGP Empire, Pablo manufacturers, exude. The Kiwi flavour, for me, is a pouch that sits squarely in the middle of pouch composition by Pablo standards. The pouches are not as moist as something like the Blue Raspberry, but nowhere near as drier composition as the Mocca. I loved the composition of the pouches, because they are comfortable, and also allow for minimal pouch burn. They sit comfortably on the gum, and are thin enough to sit in office meetings without looking like you have been punched on the lip.

Who Is Kiwi Pablo For?

You have to factor two important components of the Pablo Kiwi in order to get a feel as to whether or not these are for you. Strength and flavour are critical in balancing in order to have an enjoyable experience.

For frequent users of nicotine pouches, Exclusive Line offers an experience that is in a less common zone for Pablo. A similar nicotine curve exists, perhaps subdued a little by the more gradual flavour build. Depending on what you prefer, will determine how Kiwi Exclusive would perform for you. If you like immediate flavour presentation, or super fast nicotine hits, Kiwi may be a little subdued for you. Some people that vape at the strongest level, may find this a little frustration (or if you smoke death like Camel). But, if you are anything like me, someone that enjoys long loads, with good flavour that isn't quite so intensely presented, you will be good.

The Gold Edition is definitely a little more leaning toward the intensity of flavour the brand is known for. The nicotine curve is typically Pablo, swift, fast acting, but with a more presented flavour from the outset. I think the taper off point at its strongest is a little light for me personally, but I can see how this would be perfect for new, or mid-strength users.

How It Compares to Similar Nicotine Pouches

In comparisons with some of the big hitting, more popular flavours in the line, I think Kiwi is a diamond in the rough. It is one of those flavours that could be often overlooked, especially in the UK where our fruit is hardly the richest. There is an organic flavour about the Kiwi that I both enjoyed, and respected the representation of flavour. Unlike some nicotine pouch flavours that have an artificial tone, Kiwi in both lines from Pablo, is excellently presented.

Both the Gold and Exclusive editions deliver excellent flavour accuracy, strong nicotine performance, and a level of balance that makes Kiwi surprisingly versatile. The Gold leans into immediacy and accessibility, while the Exclusive rewards those who enjoy longer, more controlled sessions. If you're willing to step slightly off the beaten path of obvious fruit flavours, Pablo Kiwi proves that subtlety, when done right, can be just as impactful as intensity.
