Straight up, Sweet Mint 9mg is Nordic Spirit's easy mint
Straight up, Nordic Spirit Sweet Mint 9mg is the pouch people pick when they want mint and a little sugar with it. Nordic Spirit comes from JTI, started out in Sweden in 2018, and sorts its cans into Dry and Moist with the word right on the pack. Sweet Mint is Moist. The can says Strong next to the 9mg. It is tobacco free, it is a slim pouch, and the flavor is fresh mint with sweet notes over it. Think of it as the mint for the middle of the day. No surprises.
Cool mint with a sweet finish, pouch after pouch
Real quick, picture the soft mints in the dish by the diner register. Cool, a little sweet, gone before you think about it. That is the flavor here, only it stays. The mint shows up first and the sweet notes ride right behind it. The maker builds its Moist cans with more moisture for a softer feel and quicker flavor release, and the sweetness comes in fast because of that. The mint keeps it fresh the whole way, so it never tips into sugary. It finishes cool with a little sweetness left, and it holds that from the first pouch to the last one in the can.
9mg, our medium band, and the Sweet Mint can on either side
Each pouch carries 9mg. On our scale that is medium, the band from 8mg to 16mg. Three numbers on the Nordic Spirit shelf, 6mg, 9mg then 11mg, and Sweet Mint shows up at every one, so this can sits in the middle, with Sweet Mint 6mg a step below and Sweet Mint 11mg a step above. Slim pouches, 20 in every can, and the lid doubles as a spot for spent pouches. Strength is printed on the lid as dots beside the number, so you can tell the three Sweet Mint cans apart at the counter. Bottom line, a medium pouch with a mint that leans sweet.
