Real quick, Cool Mint 6mg is the Zyn mint with the chill turned up a notch
Real quick, Zyn Cool Mint 6mg is the second step on the brand's longest flavor ladder, the Cool Mint run that goes from 3mg to 16.5mg. It carries the peppermint and menthol every Cool Mint can shares, there is no tobacco leaf in the pouch, and the number tops out our light band. The 3mg can keeps the mint quiet. This one brings it forward, with clearer cooling and a sharper edge, while still keeping things easy. For a lot of adults it is the first Zyn mint that really announces itself.
Peppermint with a sharper chill, pouch after pouch
Picture the first cold breath of air when you step out of a gas station on a winter night. That is the cooling here. The peppermint opens clean and clearer than the 3mg, the menthol follows with a sharper chill that stays put, and the two hold their balance for the whole pouch. Nothing sweet, nothing fruity, nothing in the way. The finish is crisp and tidy. What you taste at the start is what you taste at the end, no surprises.
6mg, the top of light on our scale, and the Cool Mint climb
Every pouch holds 6mg of nicotine. On our scale that is light, the band from 1 to 8mg, right at the top. Zyn sorts its cans into three levels, a base from 1.5 to 3.5mg, a middle from 6 to 13.5mg, and a top at 16.5mg, so this can is the first one on the middle level. Cool Mint goes further than any other Zyn flavor: 3mg below this can, then the slim pouch takes over at 9mg and 11mg, with the 13.5mg XX-Strong and the 16.5mg Cool Mint Max above that. Bottom line, a light pouch with a clear mint and plenty of room above it.

Who steps up to Cool Mint 6mg, and where to go after
Cool Mint 6mg fits adults coming off Cool Mint 3mg who want more mint and more under it without moving into the medium band, and anyone who keeps a lighter can for evenings. It is for anyone who wants one clean flavor and nothing extra. Ready for the slim pouch? The next step is Zyn Cool Mint 9mg, which lands in our medium band. Want something greener at this number? Zyn Spearmint 6mg is right next to it. Grab one and you're set.
