Straight up, Cool Mint Max 16.5mg is the top of Zyn's mint climb
Straight up, Cool Mint Max 16.5mg is where Zyn's longest lineup ends. Cool Mint starts at a 3mg Mini and climbs the whole shelf, and this can is the last step, the same peppermint and menthol in the long slim pouch, carrying the highest number on Zyn's shelf. It sits on the top level of the lineup, the 16.5mg cans, above the middle level where most of the lineup sits. Most adults who land on this can came up the Cool Mint ladder step by step, and they are not after a new flavor. They want the number. Same mint, more under it.
Sharper peppermint, harder menthol, the coldest Cool Mint finish
Real quick, this is the peppermint you know from every Cool Mint, with the menthol pushed colder than anywhere else in the lineup. The shop's note calls out sharper mint intensity, more cooling and a colder end, which is exactly the order it arrives in. Picture the blast of cold off a walk in freezer door at the grocery store. The mint lands clean and bright, the menthol settles in behind it and keeps dropping the temperature, and the pouch ends colder than it opened. It never goes sweet. Bold, direct, done. No surprises.
16.5mg of nicotine, strong on our scale, and the Cool Mint steps below it
Every pouch holds 16.5mg of nicotine. On our scale that is strong, the band from 16 to 25mg, right at the low edge of it. Zyn runs three levels, 1.5 to 3.5mg at the base, 6 to 13.5mg in the middle and 16.5mg on top, and this can is on the top level. Cool Mint is a six step climb, two Minis at 3mg and 6mg, two slims at 9mg and 11mg, the XX-Strong at 13.5mg, then Max. The pouch is long, slim and moist to the touch, and the uptake comes on fast with a curve that climbs hard. Bottom line, a strong pouch carrying the mint Zyn is known for.

Who goes all the way to Cool Mint Max, and the two cans next to it
Cool Mint Max fits adults on Cool Mint XX-Strong 13.5mg who want the final step, and anyone on a strong pouch from another brand who wants Zyn's mint at the very top. It works for anyone who wants the familiar mint with the most under it. If 16.5mg is your number, stay on it, because there is no higher step at Zyn. Want eucalyptus in the cold at the same 16.5mg? Zyn Menthol Ice 16.5mg is right beside it. Want menthol by itself? The other can on the top level is Zyn Black Menthol 16.5mg. Grab one and you're set.
