Spearmint 6.5mg, the brighter of Zyn's two light spearmints
Real quick, Zyn Spearmint 6.5mg is for people who want mint from Zyn without the deep freeze. Two light Spearmints sit on the shelf, a 6mg and this 6.5mg, and this is the brighter of the pair: cooling that reads clearer, a sharper edge of herb, and a hint of peppermint for freshness. It lives on the main level of the Zyn lineup, just a half step over the 6mg. Spearmint is the mint with a flavor of its own, and this can is the version with a little more in it.
Green, cool and a little herbal
The first pouch comes in clean and green, like unwrapping a stick of spearmint gum at the checkout rack. The cooling reads clearer than it does in the 6mg can, a light chill that spreads across the gum, and behind it sits a leafy snap that gives the pouch some character. The peppermint hint rounds things out without taking the lead. The flavor stays put from start to finish, and the end is fresh and dry, like the last of a good breath mint. No surprises, just a very tidy mint.
6.5mg a pouch, and the Spearmint cans around it
Every pouch carries 6.5mg. Our scale calls that light, the band from 1mg to 8mg. The Zyn shelf has three strength levels, a starter level from 1.5mg to 3.5mg, a main level from 6mg through 13.5mg, and a top level at 16.5mg, which puts this can close to the floor of the main level. Spearmint is one of the deepest flavor lines on the Zyn shelf, running from 3mg up through 6mg, 6.5mg and 9mg to 11mg. Right below this one is Spearmint 6mg; right above it is Spearmint 9mg. Bottom line, a light pouch with a mint that has a little more to say.

Who goes for the 6.5mg Spearmint
This can fits adults who have used Spearmint 6mg and want a touch more without a jump, and mint users who like their cool green and herbal rather than icy. Cool Mint 6mg your usual and curious about a softer kind of mint? Try this one at a similar number. Like it and want a real step up? Spearmint 9mg comes next, then Spearmint 11mg. You're set.
