Ask for a berry snus that will not shout and this is the can that gets pointed at. 77 Forest Fruits at 5.2mg comes from the Polish maker Luna Corporate and sits in 77's Light line, two dots on the lid, the smallest number the brand puts on a can. The maker keeps its description to four words, a rich forest berry flavour, and does not name the berries. It is a mixed berry can, dark and sweet, with no mint or ice anywhere near it.
Sweet berries first, a tart edge after
The first pouch tastes like the bottom of a bowl of summer pudding, that dark mixed berry sweetness with a little tartness underneath to stop it going flat. It is juicy rather than jammy, and the tart side stays in the background rather than taking over. Through the load the berries hold their shape and the sweetness does not fade, and because there is nothing cooling in it the flavour feels warm all the way down. The finish is soft and fruity. Proper hedgerow stuff.
