Blueberry is one of those flavours regulars ask for by name, and Helwit's version sits in the brand's Regular line at 4.5mg, one step up from the 3.5mg Standard cans. The maker is YOIK AB, a Swedish company that runs its own plant at Gransholm in Småland, outside Växjö, and every can carries Made in Sweden down the side. The lid follows the house pattern, a white can with the flavour name curved round the top. Here's the thing. It is a straightforward berry snus with a little more behind it than the Standard rung, and that is exactly the gap it fills.
Clean berry sweetness, smooth to the end
Pop one in and the blueberry arrives juicy and sweet, closer to a handful of fresh berries from the punnet than to a boiled sweet. The sweetness is clean rather than heavy, and there is a soft, rounded edge to it that keeps the whole load smooth. It holds level from the first pouch to the last, with no sharp turn and no fade, and the finish is fresh and tidy. No messing about. Blueberry that tastes like blueberry, and a load that behaves the same at the end as it did at the start.
