Pablo Exclusive Strawberry Lychee gives you the strawberry and then something you do not expect behind it: lychee, the soft floral fruit from the tin at the back of the Chinese takeaway menu. The strawberry arrives first, sweet and ripe, and for a moment it reads like a plain strawberry can. Then the lychee comes through underneath, floral and a little like rose water, and the two settle into each other. It is the taste of a lychee cocktail from a decent bar, if the bar had used real strawberries. The sweetness holds through the load and the floral note stays with it rather than fading early. It finishes soft and fragrant. Proper layered, and it never gets muddled.
